Midi Tap tempo

I am wanting to send a CC64 127 message on every beat from a sequencer to ensure my tempo is always in sync.
However when I do this something weird happens.
When I press the up or down button to browse to a new patch, the display immediatley changes back so I can't see what patch is what.
Am I doing something wrong?
I don't think you're doing anything wrong. But I wonder if it's because your sequencer is still playing and sending that CC to the X3 Live?
Does the X3 Live function as expected (meaning when you change program/patches you can still view the LCD display of the patch name, etc.) if you stop the playback of your MIDI sequencer?
Yes X3 still functions correctly without any midi sequence. Can you not replicate this then? If I look at some thing like midi monitor on OSX I can see that that the only message being sent are the "CC64 127" on every beat.
liveman,
What you are experiencing is equivalent to hitting the BANK UP or DOWN button once, then, hitting the TAP switch (which produces CC# 64) before selecting a channel. It will take you out of the BANK Select view and take you back to the HOME screen.
There is nothing wrong with the POD, it is just reacting to what you are sending it.

Thanks Hugo, that makes sense to me now.
Are there any plans to not make a midi tempo sync take you to the home screen? Would be real nice to be able to sync my delays to synth tempos automatically without loosing the ability to change patch with my foot.
