Spider IV 75 doesn't work WITHOUT fbv Shortboard mkII

Hey,

 

I recently bought an FBV Shortboard mkII for my Spider IV 75.

I'm very happy with it, and it works fine.

 

However, when the Shortboard isn't connected to the amp, the amp won't go on! The lights keep flashing, like it's restarting over and over again!

When I connect the Shortboard the flashing stops, and the amp goes on.

 

It's very frustrating, because I don't need to use the pedal all the time, but without it, I can't use my amp!

 

Before I had the pedal I had no problems, and I had version 1.01.

Now I've updated it to v2.0, so maybe that's the problem?

    I've had this problem as well (still do actually)

    Tried rollback of firmware, did not work for me, maybe for you, worth a shot.

    Something I found though, is that by turning the preset know (blick one below display), my amp "snaps out" of the loop and starts. A clumsy solution in the long term, but until a real solution is figured out, its still better than nothing.

    I had something weird like this once with my Spider IV 150 with f/w 1.52.  I think a power blip caused mine to play up.  I simply did the factory reset procedure (hold down button A when powering on) and the issue cleared.

     

    That was a while ago but it has not happened since.
