update/driver issues

Hi Guys. I'm new to this forum having just purchased a Pod HD500. But I seem to be having a problem installing the drivers for it. I have installed both Line6 Monkey & HD500 Edit. My PC picks up that I have connected the HD500 and then asks for drivers ( I Don't use the PC's method as it can't find any drivers for the HD500 over the internet). Instead I start up Line6 Monkey which indeed tells me that there are drivers to be downloaded (Lastest version 4.2.4.4). I successfully download these onto my PC. But when I restart Line6 Monkey it says my HD500 is not connected and still says I have the SAME drivers to download? As anyone else had this problem or can anyone shed some ideas what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks in advance
TJ
OK. Not trying to be picky. But everything you say is download.....Did you double click the file after it downloaded? Did you see the drivers load? I mean did you see the driver load installer run?
Thank you for your reply. Yes, the installer ran, then said line6 monkey will need to close for the drivers be installed on your computer. But when I restarted line6 monkey it was saying that there weren't installed? I'm running XP.

We need more detail here. You said you successfully downloaded the drivers onto your PC but did you INSTALL them? The XP driver install process is comprised of two parts. Monkey will download the drivers and then take you through the LINE 6 driver install Wizard. When that wizard instructs you to plug your POD in that's when the PC should beep and launch its own install wizard which you also need to go through.
Are you doing exactly what this video instructs you to do?
Hey angerman1888,
If you are using Windows XP, you will need to make sure and follow along with the windows driver installation that follows the Line 6 Driver installer wizard. Make sure to review the link to the video tutorial Line6Miller provided for us, this should answer any further questions you may have.
