TBP12 Compatibility

I have a G90 rack unit and I want a second TBP12 body pack for a second guitar. This is so I don't have to keep switching the transmitter between my two favorite guitars. Buying a second TBP12 is pretty expensive and it isn't that much less than buying a G50 set. That would give me a backup for my rack receiver, a second set of antenna, the requirede instrument cable and the second transmitter. Is there any reason I couldn't just buy the G50 set and use both transmitters with either receiver?
Hi,
Both TBP12 transmitters would work with either the G50 or the G90. If you are using a single receiver you could switch back and forth between two instruments but could only have one transmitter on at the time.
Thanks,

So just to clarify, you can run 2 x TPB12 packs on 2 guitars using just one G50 so long as you turn one off before turning the other one on?
What happens if they're both on at the same time? Even for a second or 2?
Thanks.
There's an even cooler option here. I bought a G90 originally but wanted a second TBP12 so I wouldn't have to keep swapping the unit between guitars. I ended up finding a used G50 for not much more than a new transmitter plus instrument cable so now I have two complete rigs. I set up the G50 in a second pedal board with different configuration that feeds into a different amp. Now I can use either guitar to feed either or both recievers going into two different pedal paths to two different amps. I haven't checked to see what would happen if I had both guitars on using the same channel at the same time so I'm not sure what would happen there.
