Hi - I have just set up the HD500 as a recording interface to my laptop. I am using Sonar 6 as a recording program. I am able to record guitar, as well as hear it through the amp (since I'm using the amp as a speaker, essentially) while recording. So I have that all set and working.
What I need help with is: Getting sound to go from my keyboard to the POD and into my laptop for recording.I haven't been able to figure out how to set up the MIDI using my POD HD500 in order to record it in Sonar 6. If anyone has any suggestions, please share them! Thanks!
you can't record music note information through the midi ports on the HD500.
you need a seperate midi interface. i'd recommend the m-audio uno.
Hmmm...ok. Well, I do have an interface that came with sonar 6 so I'll set that up for MIDI then I guess. Thanks for your help.
P.S.: The Real Frank Zappa is a sweet book
