I have followed the procedures over and over again, but I still receive the same error message.
"ERROR! You can't install that asset!
It's probably an upgrade and you don't have the correct asset installed"
I've unistalled Version 2.2 and reinstalled the Version 2.0 which is the one that my lincense was purchased for, but still no luck. I want to use my X3 Live, not my XT...someone please help!!
Hi,
The Riffworks license you originally purchased is for version 1.
Transfer Version I off of your initial device first and the remove the upgrade license.
Next, install verion 1 of Riffworks on your POD and then install the upgrade license last.

Where in the world can I find Version 1?
I have a couple of issues...
1) I have no idea what Version I initially used was when I activated my license.
2) I am no longer using a PC, I am using a Mac so even if I was able to find the original software that I downloaded 3 to 4 years ago, it will not do me any good.
Please Help
dr3po,
You have two Riffworks licenses in your Line 6 account: Riffworks 1 and the Riffworks 2 upgrade. These licenses can be viewed at the following link if you are signed into your account:
http://line6.com/account/licenses/
These licenses are currently on your PODxt device. To use them with your POD X3 Live, you must transfer BOTH of these licenses to the POD X3 Live from the POD xt. Just click on the TRANSFER buttons for the licenses on the license page above and connect your PODxt up to the Line 6 Monkey software. There will be a transfer button in the 'Optional Add-Ons' tab of Monkey. Do this twice as there are two licenses on your PODxt.
After the licenses have been pulled off, you can connect your POD X3 Live to Monkey and enter these licenses in the Activate Purchase window.
After these licenses have been installed on your POD X3 Live, there should be a check mark next to Riffworks 1 and 2 in that tab of Monkey. You should then be able to use the software.

Hi this is also adrssing my problem see my question on the license key that i need to trasfer; so in short; what should i do if I dont have the old hardware anymore? YOu can see in my account that the license is there.... Thanks, Cheers Marcel
You for sure need both units to make the transfer and there is only one way and that is to purchase a new license key or keys. it is a real bummer but that is line6's policy ..
