Problem with sustain and playing quietly

I just picked up a POD Studio UX2 and I'm having a problem.

Whenever I play a note or a chord for longer than a second or two, it will go really fuzzy and staticy then it will cut out. Also, when trying to play a note that might be even a little quiet, it wont even pick up and I wont hear anything. Playing my top e string open fairly loudly wont even pick up anything.

Could anyone help me resolve this issue?

it sounds like you have your volume control on your guitar too low, or you have a fault with your guitar.

just as a test can you try using your guitar with a different amp just to test the guitar is ok.

also, have you tried different FX settings on the UX2?

    issuesbunny,

I would recommend uninstalling then re-installing all latest Line 6 software by downloading from our website.

Also, make sure to disconnect all other USB devices (except for a mouse and keyboard) and to test the UX2 on all of your computer's USB ports. Make sure to completely disconnect any USB hubs.

    Regards,
