I'm gonna try my Podxt thru the effects loop of my solid state Peavy Bandit.. How do I do that? Just by using the Podxt Input and one of the Right or Left Outputs.
Also will be going to a jam where I can run the XT thru a P.A. Do I use the headphone out into the P.A. ( would that work ? ) or use the Left output into the P.A.?
Why/when to use both the left and right outputs in tandem ?

You may want to experiment turning off the amp modelling to see if this works better just using the Podxt as effects. You can either go in the front of the amp or in the loop. Experiment with what sounds best.
Thank you Arky.
This statement is confusing me. ( hey why can't I copy and paste ?)
It says Guitar > Pod In - Pod Out > Amp FX return.
So I am running the PODXT thru my effects loop which has 2 jacks a send and a return.
Please explain from what jacks on the PODXT go into the send & receive and where am I plugging in my guitar?
Thanks
Hi,
To connect to your FX Loop simply take the Left mono out an connect it to the FX Return of the Peavey this will bypass the preamp in the amplifier.
If you are going to the PA you can use the headphone out, though depending on the PA it might require an adapter.
Remember there is no right or wrong way to connect the POD to your amp so experiment unit you get the sound you are looking for.
Thanks,
David

Try this from the document:
Q: Can I run my POD/X3/xt/Pro/Live/Floor in an effect loop of an amplifier to use just the effects rather than the amp modeling?
A: Yes, it is possible to to run a POD as an effect unit in the effect loop of an amplifier. You may want to turn off the amp modeling or use as clean a sound as possible to avoid stacking preamps. You may also need to lower the “line level” signal of the amplifier's effect send output to "instrument level" to avoid potential damage to the input of your POD. Some POD units will have a pad switch that will accomplish this function. If your POD unit does not have an input pad switch, a device such as the Ebtech Line Level Shifter can be used to lower the line level if necessary. Below is the routing for this:
Guitar > Amp In / Amp FX Send> POD IN - POD Out > Amp FX Return. With this routing, you would have to bypass the amp modeling on the POD unit and use it for FX only, using your amp's own preamp section.
Thanks again Arky, I do want to use the PODXT amps. For sure that's what it's all about I beieve I have found the answer I was looking for from this forum back in 2010 as follows: Apr 16, 2010 10:26 AM (in response to Buzzer54) Re: Thru effects loop i've run the pod through the fx loop for ears with no problems. the way i have it set up is pod output to fx receive. fx send to pod guitar in. guitar to amp guitar in. i've tried every configration and i like this best
