Pod HD400 Wont Output guitar

So i may have screwed my pod up, it was plugged into the computer and it said receiving presets but was stuck at 0 percent so i unplugged the power to it cause i thought it was glitched. I went to plug it into my amp when it wasnt working (all cords were in the right inputs) i was running my guitar into its input and the output was the L/Mono output but for some reason it wasnt working. I thought i corrupted the presets so i factory reset it but it still doesnt work, any reasoning why?

You might try to use Monkey to re-flash your HD400. Just wait for it to finish before you unplug anything.

What does your display screen look like when you power the HD400 on now?

If it operates at all and you can navigate the menus, try this:

          http://line6.com/support/docs/DOC-2043

If it doesn not even power on successfully, try this:

          http://line6.com/support/docs/DOC-2057

In both cases, do this afterwards:

          http://line6.com/support/docs/DOC-2044

          Let us know the results.

Before we start on your drivers I would still like to know what happens when you power on your device - don't connect to computer for this.

Can you perform the actions in DOC-2043 above?

EDIT: OK - I see that you updated your previous post and ansered my question here. I'll get back to you soon.

before anything i just need to point out i uninstalled all the drivers and now when i try to reinstall them its not working like everythign is literally going wrong right now, any help on that first because then theres no way i can connect the line 6 to my comp.....

Use the Line 6 Uninstaller to uninstall Line 6 software from your computer. You should find the Line 6 Uninstaller in the Tools folder of the Line 6 area of your computer's START - All Programs menu.

Then download and install Line 6 Monkey again, and follow the steps in this video exactly. If it fails, let us know where - specify the video timestamp.

Go to your Control Panel and open Line 6 Audio-MIDI Devices. Does it recognize your device in the top left of the display? Does it show the driver version that is installed? Does it show an ESN number?

Re: Pod HD400 Wont Output guitar

Sorry - I can't think of anything else to try at this point. Unfortunately I think we've exhausted all the normal recovery procedures. Perhaps others can chime in with other ideas.

Disconnecting the power from any computer during installation of its operating system (in this case the HD and its firmware) can leave the device in an inoperable mode. That's why the Windows Update utility warns you not to power your computer off during the update. With normal computers you can reinstall the OS from recovery disks. The Pod has no drive - only usb and Monkey for software installation. If that can't be made to work.....

I know you didn't intend for this to happen, but your device may need to be serviced.

                      http://line6.com/service_centers/

Before doing that I would do a few final things:

                      - double check all your hardware other than the Pod. Test your guitar and cables independently, especially your usb cable.

                      - try other usb ports on your computer

                      - wait until Monday when Line 6 tech support staff return to work (California time) and call them at the number you will find under the Contact Us button at the foot of this page.

                      Good luck.

+1 to all of Silverheads suggestions.

If that this point nothing has helped, it sounds like it would need to be taken to an authorized service center to fix this problem.

                      Regards,
