Hi
I've got Pod HD500, sometimes when i'm working with HD Edit some bug occurs (see attachment).
After that when i'm trying to receive preset from HD500 HD Edit may crash.
This usually occurs when i move stompboxes in the chain (not every time), but it may happend on a new preset when i choose an amp.
Reinstalling and reflashing did not help
HD Edit version - 1.06.0
Firmware version - 1.40
Driver version - 4.2.5.1
Connected to a PC (WinXP SP3) using the bundled USB cable.
Thanks

I see your problem. Look at the left corner... the banks 1A, 1B... should have the patches loaded. So your HD500 edit isn't loading your unit.
Probably when you run HD500 you get this screen:
What you should see before anything should be this:
So the first question is: is HD500 edit loading your tones? As far as I saw on your screen, the answer is "no".
So probably you have drivers problem. Have you tried running Line6 Monkey to check the version of your drivers and also the connection?
So the first question is: is HD500 edit loading your tones?
Yes. This is an empty tones.
There are no problems with connection to the PC.
Everything works fine, but the problem occurs frequently.
Have you tried uninstalling HD 500 edit, restarting your computer and installing HD500 edit again?
Yes. I also tried different versions of HD Edit - same problem.
Update: the problem occurs most often when running any DAW and ASIO resources are used
Yep, I get it occasionally too. I also get problems with patches looking fine in HD Edit and on the display, but the amp sounds disabled/turned down on the unit. Moving a hardware knob on the unit itself restores the patch to what it should be.

I would suggest to try a global settings reset and then a pedal calibration.
We have instructions on how to do both of these procedures available at the link below:
http://line6.com/support/docs/DOC-2222
After performing these, try it out again to see how it works. If you still are receiving a problem, please do your best to provide us with a step by step recipe to reproduce the problem. Provide us with a patch as well if the patch is neccesary to recreate the problem.
Thanks.
You know that happens to me then I get a thousand decibel squeel. See my thread looks like the same problem. The global reset solution doesn't work.
I would recommend removing all other USB devices from the computer and testing the POD on all of the computer's USB ports. Completely remove ANY USB hubs, even if not in use, and test all of your ports with the POD.
Let us know if anything changes.

I need the same issue in my edti hd500
Hello Line 6 users,
I'm sorry that you've experienced this issue. It may be related to an issue where using HD500 edit will produce a loud squeal. We're actively working toward a fix to this problem. I'm creating a support ticket for each of you so we can continue to supply our Engineering group with data that they can use to help them do just that. Please respond to the ticket, especially if you get the squeal.
Q: What is a support ticket?
A: A support ticket allows you to directly correspond with a Line 6 Support Representative. An email will be sent to you from Line 6 containing a link to the ticket when a Line 6 Support Representative responds to it. Please follow the link in the email to view your open ticket to work one on one with Line 6 Support. Also, in your account, click My Account, then click Support Tickets to view the support ticket. Here’s a shortcut: http://line6.com/account/tickets/view/.
Please note: Sometimes support ticket notifications will be filtered to spam and junk folders. If you did not receive an email from us indicating that a ticket has been created, please make sure to check those folders in your email host, and also that your email account is receiving messages at all. You may also consider adding Line 6 to your safe senders list.
