Hi everyone, I recently bought a POD 2.0 and I'm really keen on starting to record material on it, I've figured out all the effects on it so I'm okay with that.

The only thing stopping me from recording is the equipment/gear required to do it. I'm only new to the whole recording thing so I need some tips and advice so I know what I'm actually doing. And some tips/advice on how to record material would be nice (lol)...

Also, I have a cable that has two 1/4  jacks and two other jacks I have never seen before (picture attached), so if there is a specific name for it, what it's for and what to do with it, I'd be more than grateful
