Warning: mostly non-guitar related post!

Hi guys n gals,

I've been a member of this group for a couple of years, and I don't often post here, so trust me when I say I promise not to spam the list with non-guitar related stuff.  Feel free to stop reading.

A friend of mine at our church is making and selling cross necklaces made out of nails and wire, and I think they are way cool.  I thought you all might be interested, so his website is www.Cross2Bear.biz   (His nickname is "Bear")     I tried to attach a pic of mine, but for some reason it says my 140k jpg is not an accepted attachment type (what's up with that?)

On the subject of guitars and worship, I am a happy camper these days.  Although I started on electric back in 1981, for most of my life I've been mainly an acoustic player, and have always felt most comfortable on acoustic.  For the last couple of years, I've been working real hard to get comfortable on electric, playing mostly the strat I inherited when my Dad passed away (into the presence of the Lord)!  I bought a Gretch corvette a while back, thinking it would better fit my needs, and while it offers some different things than the strat, I still found myself always using the acoustic on Sunday mornings.  Even if I brought an electric, I brought the acoustic too.

Fast forward to a couple of months ago... I bought a 2002 Ibanez AS-120 (It's a pre-chinese model 335 copy, made in Korea) off of ebay.  I have finally found the one that feels right!  This thing inspires me to play, and (like last night) I often end up playing into the wee hours of the morning without even realizing it!  Yesterday, it was the only guitar I took to church, I left my Taylor 410 at home!  (That's huge)

So, if any of you are in the boat I was in, I just wanted to tell you what worked for me.  For the first time ever, I have other good electric players complimenting me on the tone I'm betting out of this guitar and my pod hd500.  (That's even bigger)

Thanks for letting me carry on like this.

Jerry
