Line 6 DT25 voicing - analog or modeling?

Hi everybody,
I have one simple question; I know that both DT25 and DT50 are hybrid amps with analog preamps which sound is then modified using modeling technology. Still the core of both is a plain tube amp, right? What I was wondering is whether the switching capabilities pentode/triode and class A/class AB are due to analogic circuitry or modeling technology? When line 6 says that the DT25 IS a both a class A and class AB amp, do they mean that they really are it, like a VOX or a Mesa Boogie, or do mean that that they sound like one of them?
Thanks for everybody´s helping clarifying this issue!
Daniel
you've got it backwards... the power amp is 100% physical and not modeled...
the pre-amps are modeled (and then ran through a tube(s) before being sent to power amp)
the switching etc... is 100% actual.
class a and ab is a configuration of the power amp... the dt's are capable of doing both without modeling.
Great! Thanks a lot!
If you haven't already, I would reccomend reading this document:
..... It is still valid to swap out the 12ax7 for another brand correct?.... meaning there will be an effect ... right?.... the signal path still goes through the 12AX7 even though the its not acting as a preamp....
That document says to not use Long Plates because they are microphonic .... isn't that a bit of a generalization...?
I would think noise and microphonics would be tube specific... Is it valid to say "Don't use Long Plate tubes..."?
Stay in the mix and in the know.
