Spider Jam Tone/Volume Problems

My spider jam is unable to play any of the amp models other than "metal" and even when it is on metal it sounds clean with slight distortion only if you turn it up very loud. All of the amp models are extremely quiet and I can't hear them unless I've got the volume 3/4 of the way up. I just updated the firmware to the latest version and I tried a factory reset before that. Niether fixed the problem for me. None of my local repair shops know what to do other than send the amp into line 6, I'm not even sure if it's under warranty anymore. Is there anything else that I might be able to try?
That happened once to me when I downloaded the fw.bin file across an Internet connection, but with Anti-Virus scanning the download. Apparently part of the firmware got corrupted and after loading it into the Spider Jam, the processing of signal was similar to what you've described.
Another symptom was that not all the backing tracks were playing.
I'd suggest a clean re-install of the 2.09 Firmware. Be sure you're following all the steps in order from this KB Doc. Also, please disable A-V scanning if you're on a Windows host PC: http://line6.com/support/docs/DOC-4778
