I would like the recommended setup specs for the JTV-69 (Korean). Specs for truss rod adjustment, and any other recommended guidelines are desired. Does Line6 publish such a document.
I forgot to mention, I am also interested in the sizes of the allen wrenches, so I can ensure I have the correct set (size, metric/sae). Thank you.

here is a link to a Line 6 document covering the hex key sizes
I don't think there's such a document...but I might be wrong!
A guitar setup has some rules which apply to all similar guitars, for instance, a JTV-69 setup will have the same rules/steps as a stratocaster to make it generaly playable to "minimum" standards. Then it's all a matter of personal preference. Some people like their action lower than others, some like thicker strings, some prefer the neck to be straight as an arrow, etc...
You can find tons of good tutorial videos on youtube on how to setup a strat type guitar, and once you learn how to do it, then you can adjust it to your personal taste. I think all guitarrists should try to LEARN WELL how to setup their own guitar and do it themselves, but that's just me!
All the required wrenches come with the JTV...though some people have been complainting about not having them!
I guess I was spoiled with my Schecter: they have specs and setup documents which they will mail on request. It was these documents, along with youtube, that gave me the courage to tackle doing setups at all.
The JTV-69, having a floating bridge, was daunting. I finally decided to just dive in by making minor adjustments. The best resource I found was a post by stevekc. In it, he provides some good photos. I never really did find a solid video (suggestions appreciated).
When I set mine up, I brought the action up a bit because on the accoustic guitar settings I was getting fret buzz... I don't mind the action up a bit and it feels very comfortable for me... now the accoustics sound great.
Once I raised the action, I had to set the intonation (something I had never done before). Checked some video's on youtube and was able to do it without a problem. Again setup is a personal taste.
Here's a link to the Variax 700 manual, which includes guidlines for neck adjustmnet. I would expect it to be the same for the JTV.
Stay in the mix and in the know.
