I have the opportunity of buy a variax 600 that is new (not used) in the music store; I know that line 6 don't produce anymore this series and now is James Tyler Variax in market; my doubt is that I read some reports of problems with the piezo l.r. baggs of 600, they died in any moment and need replacement with original piezos or with graphtech piezo; i don't know if this is a high common problem and the possibility/probability of happens with me is high. Is better if I buy James Tyler variax; for me is sufficient the variax 600 and its characteristics but I don't want be in risk.
Any information is welcome
Edgar
i've had my variax 600 since it first came out... no problems... others haven't been so lucky...
but then i could also say the same for the james tyler variax i have... mine's been great.... others...
if it's truly new, then you should get a one year warranty on the electronics... and you'll surely get a good price on it...
could be worth the risk...
if you can afford it... the JTV's are certainly better... but i love my 600 too.
Many thanks TheRealZap is orientative in a good sense your opinion. I consider it for my decision.
I appreciate of variax users opinions, positive or negative experiences, and what that users decide today with more knowledge and experience. thanks for your help.
you can buy two 600 for the price of one jtv and have money for strings...
... and then learn to play two guitars at once.......![]()
actually i was thinking more like between the two you should have enough parts to keep one going![]()
Hi,
If you did decide to purchase the 600 new it would have a full one year warranty.
