DL4 Expression Connection

I've heard that the Ernie Ball VP Jr. 25k can be used as an expression pedal with the DL4. Assuming that this is true, what kind of cable can be used to make the connection? I've heard TRS and TS but I'm not sure...

Actually, no. Here are the correct specs for Expression Pedal compatibility with out 4-Button Stomp Modelers and M-Series Effects: http://line6.com/support/docs/DOC-1472

Cliff's Notes Version = Expression pedal with a 10K-Ohm mono linear potentiometer, using a mono 1/4" patch cable connection to the input jack on the pedal.
