    Q: What tubes ship in the DT50/DT25 amps?

    A: DT50: Electro-Harmonix 12AX7 preamps tubes (2) and Electro-Harmonix EL34 power tubes (2).

        DT25: Chinese-branded 12AX7 preamp tube (1) and Sovtek EL84 power tubes (2).

      Thanx do u know if a change in tube type like ruby or jj etc would show up as noticeable difference as on a typical amp? Also is there bias adjustments for experienced tube folks to use ,And can the dt25 push a4x12 cab effectively or is it better suited for smaller speaker enclosures

        A DT25 will definitely push a 412 cabinet effectively... it's not suited for smaller speaker enclosures by any means. I think perhaps the reason why it would seem that way initially to a new customer is because the DT25 are the smallest in the family of DT amps. There seems to be a big interest in smaller-sized/lower-wattage tube amps these days; this would be our answer to that interest.

         

        But I've put a DT25 through a 412 and it sounded very full... and loud, to boot!
