Boss fv500h expression pedal with M13

I just got a Boss fv 500 expression pedal to use with my M13.  I am only using it to run the wah wah for now.  Problem is that it is working backwards (bass in the toe down position/ treble in the heal down position).  I can't find anything that addresses this specific issue in the big M13 manual.   I have tried both mono and TRS cables.  Any suggestions?

    You have to set the heel and toe values to what you want them to be using the knobs on the M13. So when the pedal is in the heel down position set the parameter on the M13 to where you want it, and when it's in the toe down position, set it to where it should be.
