FBV ex-1 pedal

I have a FBV shortboard (not mk-2)

 

I want to buy the ex-1 pedal for it if I can designate it as wah and the pedal on the shortboard as volume or vice versa.   I see that this is possible with the mk-2 through software but I don't think the FBV shortboard has a usb to hook to the computer.  I need to know this before I shell out the money for pedal.
