Sound differences pod hd bean v pro

Are there any differences in sound options between bean and pro? It is very difficult to get a grip of this as bean specs and the pdf spec sheet say contradictiory things. For example under specs there is no mention of speaker models of microphones, but the pdf spec sheet says:"Mix and match amps, effects, cabs, mics and more to get the right tone every time". So what im really asking is:Can I get exactly the same sounds out of the Bean as I can with the pro? If not what are the differences?
Thanks
99% sure they will sound exactly the same with the same internal features.... only i/o and form factor are different... there may be a limitation on effects placement as well but not sure..
Hi
The POD HD desktop, HD500 and HD Pro are all siblings using the same basic technology and architecture as well as the same amp and FX models. I have all three here and can vouch for that first hand. The differences really lie in the i/o options, so as long as the firmware versions in both the HD Pro and POD HD desktop are at the same level you should get exactly the same sounds from both. Remember the desktop version does not have MIDI or an FX Loop like its two better specified siblings so obviously you could create a physical difference in sound on the HD Pro and HD500 by including external FX, but that aside you should not experience any difference in sound quality.
