Concern re low wattage/high wattage issue

Just opened the box on a new DT25 and the low volume setting is louder than "normal" wattage setting. Also it seemed at first like only amp models II and IV were working ... Seemed to take over a minute to warm up and have models I and III work. Ultimately I thought the amp just did not seem loud and wheni switched it to low wattage practice level it was louder!
Any thoughts before I send it back to Musiciansfriend?
Thanks,
Brian
I'd suggest you remove the back grill panel and check that all the valves are securely seated.
Do this with the amp switched off and unplugged. Also make sure the valves have cooled down as they will get hot when running.
Also check to see that they all glow when the amp is switched on.
+1 to sopachrga,
Sound like a tube isssue. Make sure the tubes are seated properly and are all lighting up. if the amp still has issues, you need to take it to an authorized service center:

Your answers were helpful. It turns out there is really not appear to be a problem. It just seemed like the low wattage mode was louder. It can be loud when turned up, but it allows you to turn things down much lower than the high wattage mode. It seems in the low mode the volume drops more smoothly and slowly whereas in the high watt mode it kind of jumps from medium volume down to nothing more quickly.
Thanks to all for assisting.
