new to the discussion group.. help!

bought a 150 watt line 6 head and 4-12 cabinet. (used, on craigslist) came with the fbv express pedalboard, not the little one, or the big one. has been working flawleswsly since i got it, bout 3 months ago. played at least 2-4 times a week for 3-6 hours at a time. Last sunday at practice, the pedal locked up on me, couldnt change channels, a small red light was blinking in the corner where the delay time is printed on the display window on the pedal. changed cat5 cables, nothing changed. i could still change channels manually on the head itself, but not with the pedal board. left it off and unplugged since sunday, and tonight it seems to work fine. any ideas? i cant let this thing leave me swinging in the breeze come showtime!!

The most common points to visually inspect will be the CAT-5 cable, the CAT-5 jacks (pins cannot be corroded or bent on either pedal controller or receiving amp). Unfortunately it sounds like you've done those things, so the problem is further downstream, most likely inside the controller itself.

I'd say if you lived close to a Guitar Center, you could bring the FBV Express controller with you and test it with one of the showroom Line 6 amps that it's compatible with. If the same symptoms occur, you've isolated the problem to the controller. If it does NOT, then the issue lies inside the 150 head.
