Using Bass Pod xt together with songs on PC to rehearse

i.e. I need to rehearse quietly with headphones late at night so I'm wondering how to do that

Do I plug my bass in the POD then use the USB from the POD to the PC? Find my songs on my media player and be able to hear the songs and my bass in the headphones?

Is that how it's done?

Yes, with the headphones plugged into the Bass PODxt (or your mixer if your are running the analog outs to your mixer).

  I'm sorry but could you be a bit more explicit....I'm not really tech savvy so having trouble following what you say
  
  as in:
  
  1. Plug bass in Pod
  2. Plug Pod USB to USB on PC
  3. Plug headphones in PC
  
  or
  
  1. Plug bass in Pod
  2. Plug Pod USB to USB on PC
  3. Plug headphones in Pod
  
  What would I need to do the the mixer interface ? to make either options viable.....

This will assist you in upating your drivers.

When connected to your computer via USB, the Bass PODxt becomes your sound card.
So you will need to plug your headphones into the Bass PODxt.

You will also hear all the sounds from your computer, youtube, CD's, ect...

      I have another question
      
      I've found the USB cable (hooray - that was one heck of a search..lol)
      
      BUT
      
      Well, I found line6 Monkey software and updated my POD
      
      How close am I to doing what I want (i.e. practice with the POD and songs on my PC together)?
      
      Cause it's not working yet.....
