UX2 and POD Farm licensing problems... Please help.

Product: UX2 (with red faceplate)

Computer: Macbook Pro with Lion

DAW: Logic

Hi,

When I purchased my UX2, it came with a Gearbox license. Later on, I was offered a free upgrade to POD Farm. Everything was working fine with Leopard and Logic.

I bought a new Macbook Pro with Lion and tried to install UX2 drivers and POD Farm.

I first installed Line6 Monkey through which I installed the drivers and the updated Licensing program. I had to create a new Line6 user account because I can't remember my old account and don't use the email adress I had at that time. I then installed POD Farm 2.5. Nothing told me that it was only a light version and that I had to pay a hundred bucks. The program seemed to be working fine though in it's limited form. I decided to keep it to compare the quality of amp sims with the original POD farm later.

I installed POD Farm 1 through Line6 Monkey. When I tried to load it in Logic, my UX2 didn't even appear in the inputs. I went back to Line6 Monkey. It said my drivers needed to be updated. I updated the drivers, again. My UX2 now appears in Logic (I can choose the imputs) but I get this when I try to load POD Farm: http://i.imgur.com/vRGiG.jpg

The licensing program won't help. I am now stuck with two useless programs on my computer (POD Farm and POD Farm 2.5). How do I get rid of everytthing from Line6 and start fresh? I don't want to pay 100$ for a device that used to work fine.

Thanks for your help.

Regards,

JF

Edit: I want to clear something up. I want to uninstall everything. I hate it that Logic is now full of useless plugins from POD Farm 2.5. My computer now has Line6 Monkey, the licensing program, shitloads of useless plugins and Line6 Monkey on it. All useless. Please help me clean this mess.

The problem is the fact that you created a new user account, as the POD Farm 1 License you purchased is tied to your previous account. When you used the License Manager and authorized your UX2 using your new account, it looked into your available licenses, saw that this account did not have any purchased licenses in it and therefore removed the POD Farm 1 license from your UX2.

To regain access to the POD Farm 1 license, simply re-authorize the UX2 using your previous user account, and it will reinstall the license.

We created a support ticket for you so we can resolve this issue. Please respond to the ticket. Thanks.

Q: What is a support ticket?

A: A support ticket allows you to directly correspond with a Line 6 Support Representative. An email will be sent to you from Line 6 containing a link to the ticket when a Line 6 Support Representative responds to it. Please follow the link in the email to view your open ticket to work one on one with Line 6 Support. Also, in your account, click My Account, then click Support Tickets to view the support ticket. Here’s a shortcut:

      http://line6.com/account/tickets/view/.

Please note: Sometimes support ticket notifications will be filtered to spam and junk folders. If you did not receive an email from us indicating that a ticket has been created, please make sure to check those folders in your email host, and also that your email account is receiving messages at all. You may also consider adding Line 6 to your safe senders list.

Since we’ll be working on this via the ticket, I’m marking the thread Assumed Answered.
