    Cool!

    Here's my list :

    - a real parametric EQ (4 band fully parametric with HP, LP, and HI LOW Shelv)

    - improved reverb

    - improved digital (not just analog simulation) chorus/flanger with pre-delay option like boss fx

    - improved pitch fx

    - JC120 model

    - acoustic preamp like BBE Acoustimax for example

    - beer machine

    cheers,

    Hans

    Re: POD HD500 WISH-LIST

Kill the current EQ's, all of 'em, and replace them with one global EQ (no FX slot). This EQ would have High and low filters with adjustable center frequency and 2 parametric bands from the Studio EQ. All parameters would be NUMERICAL not %.

Global noisegate for the the metal crowd (i don't really use it)

Better reverb. Compared to Valhalla room/shimmer or EOS ($50 low CPU plugins) or any number of freebies (i.e. Epic verb and Ambience) the standard HD verbs (room, plate hall) are really metallic sounding.

The ability to turn off ghost notes that L6 insists are intentional. They gave us the ability to turn off the hum now I want to be able to play single notes on the Deluxe reverb and Dr. Z without sounding like I have an unintellingent harmonizer turned on real low.

Improved cabs especially the 4x12's. I'd love user IR's but i don't think it will happen with the HD

At least one bass amp/cab like an SVT

    An acoustic model

Model Packs for amps, cabs and FX. L6 made 'em for the PODxt/X3 so I'm hoping its planned for the HD. Got my credit card in hand along with alot of other folks I'm sure

Seems like we all agree on similar things, I just hope Line 6 people listen to us.The Equilizers nees to be improved. I's rather have one good one than 4 crap ones. The pitchshifters are horrible as far as tracking. It is monophonic. POD slogan said the hd500 is the most powerful blah blah blah....can't track more than one string at a time. Can't compete with the micro POG nor even the less expensive Boss PS-6. And no acoustic simulator nor decent acoustic sounds. The basics of multi effects are: clean sound and strong distortion effects. the rest are just modifications of these two basic sounds. The distortion is good, the acoustic clean sound is not. I'm pretty sure the processor can do the following:

    polyphonic pitch shifter

    7+band equilizer

    Acoustic simulator

    sitar sound would be nice

    Please add these basic affects

    Four things:

Mesa Boogie Mk IIc+ lead channel

Parametric EQ with 3 parametric bands with adjustable frequency, q, and gain for each band, and high and low shelving.

    3rd party IR support.

Electro Harmonix Polyphonic Octave Generator (P.O.G.) model.

That would tide me over for a while.

I'd like a chorus pedal based off of the MXR ZW chorus, or the Corona Chorus. The ones in the HD500 are decent, but not the best.

I'd also like an amp modeled after the 6505/+.

That's really about it, other than the aforementioned EQs.

Honestly most of the stuff from Pod Farm is in the HD500, and you can use the HD500 as an interface to use with Pod Farm as long as you also have your registered gear for Pod Farm also plugged in.

Yes it's a pain, it does work though.

        Re: POD HD500 WISH-LIST

For me, it's not that Pod Farm doesn't work with the HD500; it does. For me the issue is that there is not (yet?) a version of Pod Farm that has the HD modeling technology in it - call it Pod Farm HD. That means there's no ability via tone file transfer to match exact guitar tones in your recorded and live versions (using an HD500 preset) of the song.

Yes, it can be done if you reamp using the HD500 hardware, but that requires a seperate multi-input/output audio interface to your DAW.

            Mark

If your maudio fastrack ultra has adequate multiple i/o capabilities you can use your HD500 hardware to reamp a dry track in the following way:

            - record the dry track directly using the maudio or by dedicating a path in the HD500 with no amp/fx to send the dry track to your DAW.

            - playback the dry track through one of the maudio channel outputs, preferably at instrumant level. Route this output to your HD500 Guitar Input and select the HD500 preset you want to use to reamp the track.

            - route the HD500 output to different inputs in the maudio. This is why you need a seperate audio interface with multiple i/o channels. You need to avoid creating a feedback loop. For instance, if your dry track playback is using the maudio Channel X output, avoid routing the HD500 output into the maudio Channel X input. Use a different channel in the maudio.

            - arm a track in your DAW to record your reamped sound using the maudio outputs that are carrying the input from the HD500.

You can now use your HD500 hardware in the same way that you would use Pod Farm to reshape your tones without needing to reperform your guitar part.

That suggests that you do not have the Pod Farm 2.5 hardware independent license. Licenses for earlier versions of Pod Farm require hardware authorization, and the HD is not an authorizing device. However, with the hardware independent license for Pod Farm 2.5 it will run with any audio interface that supports ASIO or CoreAudio, and HD devices do work for that.

You don't lose the clean unprocessed audio if your sound card has SPDIF in.  The HD500 SPDIF out can be configured to "Dry out".  The POD Farm you do lose, but once you play the HD and compare it head to head with POD Farm, I can't imagine you wanting to use amp farm anymore.

I agree, the polyphonic effects would make a huge improvement Also EQ improvements would be awesomw. The HD's delays are great and the overdrive is also great. Unfortunately, I dont think Line6 listens to their customers. I wish they did. So far the HD500 doesnt beat combo amps built in effects by much. Think about it , most modern  amps have overdrive, delays, reverb, and chorus. What else does the HD500 have on top of that? amp models, flangers, wah wah, and off the wall effects that is suitable for a few solo notes. I feel that the core effects should be very configurable, the overdrive  should have a wider range and the cleans should be like an acoustic simulator. I usually measure an effects pedal by how it can modulate multiple notes such as polyphonic pitchshifter. If it can do that, then its got a great processor. If it crumbles under this load, then its just another glorified stomp box.I would like to hear others' thoughts on this.

Ok, call me crazy or not in touch with reality... but I don't want more sims or effects...

I just want to be able to use what we already have, in any combination... without ever - EVER - getting an DSP overload roadblock.

Line6 please, for the love of all that is face-melting! Please do whatever it takes to give us a system that never ever does that again. The HD500 sounds great, but there should be no limitations. Give us a quad-core. Or ten of them, I don't care how much it costs. I have already spent thousands on getting just the right tone. I can spend a few thousand more.

And another thing... could we please get a better editor? Take a look at MainStage, or Reason. Make it look and work exactly like the real thing, plugs and knobs, everything. I even want to smell the hot tubes when I crack up the Marshall sim.

    Thanks. I feel better now.

I don't think you can drag/drop lots of tones at the same time, but i think you can audition them by using the looper.  or you could record some raw guitar and put it on your phone or mp3 player and audition using the aux input.

    Re: POD HD500 WISH-LIST

Something like the X3's "piezoelectric" thing as an AMP model would be cool, in combination with the vintage pre (which is ASTOUNDINGLY good for what I'm doing, btw. THANK YOU!

I'd like to be able to copy and paste FX instances from one patch to another, and maybe even save them and recall them (in the software ONLY)

Also, in the software... I'd also love to be able to set my amp for a clean sound with the EXP pedal at one extreme, then just move the EXP pedal, twist the dials, and record the settings to the other extreme... right now setting up controllers for multiple parameters is a tad awkward... but I'm getting by.

    There's a couple things I'd like with the JTV/HD 500 combo.

I'd like the ability to lock the volume and tone and toggle switches for the models ONLY. Right now I can lock all three, and the toggle still works for the mags (JUST how I want it), but I'd love to use that volume and tone for the mags.

Related... I'd love it if I could also lock the model selector.

But most of the functionality I "need" with this to do my two-voice guitar thing has been provided in this latest round of updates. Thanks, Line6!

I'd also like a setting to increase the quality of my playing... a "talent boost" effect. That would be AWESOME!

I have other thoughts for the "HD 1000" someday... but that's another story... I'm happy now!

OH... last thing... I want a teeny tiny little version of those new 10" PA speakers to use as an FRFR monitor.

    Re: POD HD500 WISH-LIST

    I LOVE MY POD HD500

    fuzzface is too bassy

octavia is too trebly, lacks a bit in dynamics, expecially with roll down volume pot jobs

univibe should be more lush, a volume know can help settings

rotaries should have a volume control

    a doumble amp model

a fender super reverb amp model

    an orange amp model

    a boss oc2 model

    a Xotic BB model

    a Fulltone OCD model

    a Zendrive model

    A EHX POG model

    a parametric eq

    a vc level meter

a general 4 band parametric eq

    a bpm display indicator

    stereo looper

    effective bpm rate on rotaries

the possibility to assign parameter to exp pedal areas (as in boss gt)

    I mean this:

the principle is to give the possibility to assign not only range of parameters,

but also to put in relation the assigned range of the parameter to a range of the expression pedal ( up to down from 0 to 127)

    i.e.

delay level from 0% to 50% to exp pedal from 0 to 100

delay feedback from 0 to 100  to exp pedal from 100 to 127

I used this setup with a boss gt pedalboard to have a dub delay, so you can wet the sound with the delay on exp pedal, and when you go all down you have a dub effect this can make the expression pedal very versatile,

add the ability to send MIDI information via USB (maybe could be possible with a firmware update?)

the possibility to merge looper buttons with patch or pedals buttons (i.e. 1-4 to looper 5-8 to patches, or 1-4 to looper 5-8 to pedals)

when you press "play once" button and you press playy ot should be fantastic to have the loop play in time
