I just got my JTV69, FIRT PROBLEM I NOTICED OUT OF THE BOX WAS THE INPUT JACK DID NOT ACCEPCT THE CORD EASILY, IT HAD TO BE FORCED IN AND JUST DIDNT FEEL RIGHT FROM THE VERY START.
ONCE I GOT IT IN, I COULDNT GET THE THING TO TURN ON, I HAD TO REMOVE THE BATTERY SEVERAL TIMES, (FULLY CHARGED BY THE WAY) AND MESS WITH THE INPUT JACK SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE I COULD GET IT TO COME ON.
I HAVE HAD IT 48 HOURS AND SPEND MORE TIME MESSING WITH IT TO GET IT TO POWER UP THEN I DO PLAYING IT.....SENDING IT BACK TO ZZOUNDS FIRST THING MONDAY FOR EXCHANGE ON ANOTHER ONE. iF IT COMES IN LIKE THIS ONE, IM DONE.
SEEMS QUALITY CONTROL IS NOT UP TO PAR ON THESE GUITARS, AND FOR WHAT THEY COST, THEY SHOULD WORK FLAWLESSLY RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX.
QUESTION....WHATS UP WITH THE WHAMMY BAR? IS THERE NO WAY TO TIGHTEN IT SO IT DOESNT FALL OUT ? I SEEN WHAT APPEARED TO BE A SET SCREW WHERE IT GOES IN, BUT NONE OF THE ALEN WRENCES THEY GIVE YOU WORK ON IT, IS IT JUST A ROLL PIN
OR A SET SCREW THAT CAN BE TIGHTENED ?
SO FAR...NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL.
Hi, you need to turn the whammy bar clockwise until it tightens, there's a screw at the bottom, the little allen on the side is for tightening the 'feel'
Without a doubt, send it back and ask for a new one. Sounds like the one your received is defective. No matter who the manufacturer is, sometimes a defective product comes off the line and slips through quality control. In this case, the defective jack, which would also affect the power circuits, could easily slip by. Sorry you've had this problem.
I would also request that ZZounds inspect the new one before sending it out to you amd make sure it is OK. If they will not, I would start dealing with a vendor that will do an inspection, like Sweetwater.
Hello,
Were you able to tighten the vibrato arm on the guitar usint the set screw on the side of the bridge?
