Can't make my own alternate tunings on a JTV-59

I watched the online video several times to make sure I was doing this right. (the video was made with a 69, if that makes a difference)
I have the Tuning knob in Model mode, push the button down for a few seconds but I don't get a flashing light like they do in the training video.
I wanted to do a tuning with a capo on 2 and replace one of the Alt tunings.
It should be able to do this from the guitar without hooking up Workbench, right?
Otherwise, I'm really happy with the 59. Great sounds. Thanks
Jeff
Hi Jeff.
1) Yes, you can do this on the guitar without workbench.
2) The instructions are in the Pilot's manual if that helps.
3) You can do it on any of the tuning settings. I'm not sure it would work in Model mode. I would try setting the tuning on say, the DADGAD mode instead.
I don't have my JTV here unfortunately, but I have done this in the past.
Good Luck.
David.

In the instructions it doesn't say to have the tuning knob in Model mode. It won't work if it's set there. Try setting it to one of the tunings other than Standard or Model. Then press the model knob down for a few seconds.
Stay in the mix and in the know.
