KB37 Not Recognized/Drivers not installed

I just bought a KB37 today brans new from the biggest music store in the country & I have been trying to install software & drivers for over 5 hours now & I am getting a littled annoyed to say the least!

When I plug-in the KB37 to my computer by USB, the "Clip" leds starts flashing alternatly and the KB37 can't be recognized by my computer on starting Monkey or manually.

When I start Monkey it tells me drivers need uppdating, after clicking update it goes through the install & says they are installed but won't recognize the KB37 at all!  I have uninstalled & reinstall drivers & even the entire software packages but stilll won't work. To say I am a lot  frustrated is an understatement!

I have a diploma in computing, computer repair & network support so I am not technically challeged at all. I downloaded Line 6 Monkey & installed from website as well but the problem is still there. I have tried restarting my computer, uninstalled everything & reinstalled everything, tried in 3 of my different USB sockets but still nothing. I have tried EVERYTHING I found in your knowledge base on this problem

From what I see in the knowledge base a lot have had this problem & no one seems to have had this probem fixed.

I have had several Line 6 products before & purchased this because it had all the features & software I needed for recording & it doesn't work. Wish I hadn't bought it now, wish I bought some other product!

What the hell is going on?? Is this a defective product?

Sounds like it could be a defective unit.  Try not to get discouraged, these things happen.  If it's not too much of a hassle I would say uninstall everything, take it back to the store you bought it from and exchange it for a new one then start fresh.  If you're still having problems then there's some step in the process you must be missing so let the forum know and hopefully it can get fixed quickly so you can make some music.

          Hey Mate,

Im from Australia, and Im having the same issue. I am setting this up on a mates laptop and have to say this is a piece of **** for people starting out. I would never recommend one of these. I have Edirol PCR800 and it was insatnt plug and play, no crap added on. Whoever designed this is terrible because it is not user friendly.

I am from Peru and I have the same problem.

I use to use th KB37 with the Windows XP with no problem at all. But when I upgrade my OS to Windows Vista (in the same laptop), Everything changed. The KB37 does not work any more.

It is amazing how Line 6 does not do anything about it. it is very disappointing.
