Upgrading Relay 90

I have just purchased a XD-V75, and used it to upgrade my Relay90 Receiver. However, can't get my Transmitter upgraded.
The XD-V75 transmitter goes into loader mode just fine by following the instructions. The old TBP12 Transmitter from the G90 does not go into loader mode when I follow the instructions. The buttons work when the unit is powered on, but no matter how I press them, it won't go into loader mode.
Are the instructions in the Line6 Monkey application correct? Is the process the same for the new transmitters and the old ones? The new one goes into loader mode every time, but doing exactly the same thing on the old one does not work.
What is the current software rev in the TBP transmitter? It must be 1.02 or greater to work with Monkey. If it is a lower version you will need to send it to us to upgrade.
G90 owner here,
This is SO ridiculous it is not funny. G users are buying other Line6 equipment to do the upgrade ?? My dealer does not have this XD-V75 .
I can do firmware updates on $30 XM radio via USB in 3 minutes. And no, I am no line 6, i am not shipping my unit all over the place , because I need it. That's why I bought it.
I can't tell what the version number is. On the new transmitter, I can hold down select while turning the unit on, and it will display the version number. On the old one, holding down select just causes it to skip the startup info and go directly to the main screen. The select button itself obviously works, since it changes the behavior - it just doesn't provide the behavior I expect to see.
If that happens it is pre-1.02 and will need to be returned as the flash involves special hardware. Please contact the service department to arrange for it.
My service center in Sweden doesn't have the specialized hardware so the bodypack would need to be shipped to usa. The cost for doing that would almost exceed the cost of a new bodypack. Even if it can be done in UK the shipping cost would be quite high with ensurance and everything.
I have the hardware to do jtag and isp. Can you send me a firmware in intel-hex format?
Sorry we cannot.
Ok, so how should I go ahead with this upgrade then? I need this upgrade since my other xdv-70 and 75 systems are running v2 firmware in rf2-mode.
Keep in mind that I live in Sweden and the service center can't help me with this matter since I'm out of warranty.
Download Line 6 Monkey updater. Then using your V75 receiver as the computer interface you connect a TRS/TRS cable from the outputs on the recevier to the OUTPUT on the G90. Full instructions will pop up in Monkey. You could also watch the video instructions for flashing XD-vs (in the documents section) as it is very similar.
Oh, sorry about the confusion.
It's not the g90, but the tbp12 bodypack with old/non-upgradeble firmware, as was mentioned earlier.
Therefor your suggested action won't apply...
Same answer ... except you do not connect to a G90. You just lay the transmitter on the antenna (b-out) of the V75. All the instructions are contained in Monkey. There are also videos and instructions in the documents section of the XD-V page.

Now you confuse me or you didn't understand me fully...
According to the post above
holding down select just causes it to skip the startup info and go directly to the main screen. The select button itself obviously works, since it changes the behavior - it just doesn't provide the behavior I expect to see.
and your reply was

According to that statement the option to use the xd-v75 for upgrade is not doable. To be certain I'm not missed anything I've double-double checked and I can't enter boot mode in any documented way on this transmitter...
As I've said above I have this old/non-upgradable firmware (that won't enter boot loader). This firmware is obviously pre-1.02.
According to my service center they don't have that type of special hardware and I'm out of warranty so I can't force them to upgrade/replace my tbp12. This is also why I was asking about the intel-hex file since I could do the flashing myself with my ISP/JTAG programmers.
Now, what shall I do or do I have to bin the transmitter, since the rest of my systems (v70/v75) are upgraded and already using rf2-mode?!
User flashing using Monkey requires that the proper firmware in present in the transmitters. Getting it up to that level will require returning it to us. That said your current transmitter will work correctly with any other Line 6 receiver that is running in RF1 mode.

Yes, this is my understanding too. For logistic reasons it is difficult to run this bodypack in rf1 since it may ruin other xd-v-devices that I have no control over...
Now, what is the proper procedure to return my device to line6? I assume I can send it to UK?
