ARE THE XD-V75 AND SHURE WHB54 COMPATIBLE?

I would like to use my Shure WHB 54 headmic with the Line 6 XD-V75 Transmitter and receiver. The WHB 54 is a super cardiod mic that has the TA4 connector. The reason for this is that the Line 6 headset is omni and I am concerned about feedback from FOH and Stage monitors, plus the shure headset fits well and sounds awesome. Shure insist that the WHB 54 should only be used with shure transmitters and receivers, I am sure that this is a ploy to get you to buy shure only.
I would appreciate your assistance and recommendations
Thanks
You should definitely try your existing WBH 54, Tregon...
But I very much fear that its signal will be "down in the mud" with Line 6 XD-V TBP beltpacks.
(I'm hoping that there's a friendly dealer nearby who'd let you conduct this experiment in store before buying...)
For these systems, the undoubted headset of choice for comfort, high monitor SPL feedback rejection and vocal clarity seems to be the Crown CM-311AESH at around $400USD.
Coupling one of these to the complete absence of any artifacts in Line 6's signal chain yields an exquisitely detailed "up front" presence and fullness to vocals that's truly breathtaking.
Maybe sell one to lessen the pain of forking out for the other ?
I did a little bit of research on this. Looking on Page 73 of the Beta 54 Manual: http://www.shure.com/idc/groups/tech_pubs/@global_managed/documents/webcontent/us_pro_beta53_beta54_en_ug.pdf
It appears that the wiring of that mic and the wiring of our TBP12 Transmitter pin-out is the same:
Pin 1 - Gnd
Pin 2 - V+
Pin 3 - Signal
Pin 4 - Z (short to pin 3 for mic)
I don't have the experience of actually using one of these mics with our system, however. But as far as the pin-out of the mic and the TBP12 transmitter goes, they appear to be the same. Good luck!
Stay in the mix and in the know.
