I'm going to purchase an used SV MKII and I would ask you some question.

As I mainly play at home (I think..) I really don't need the shortboard to control the amp, my question is: could I update the SV firmware without an USB connection (using a midi interface instead) ?

How could I check (if possible) the firmware installed on the amp using only the amp buttons (I'll try the SV at the shop so, no PC no usb etc.) ?
