POD HD/Variax Custom Tuning Creation

Yesterday, I updated my POD HD 500 to the firmware 2.0.

I was interested by the new feature called "POD HD/Variax Custom Tuning Creation".

 

Since I am the owner of a Variax 500, this option is non available.

I am disappointed about that.

 

Is it because of a hardware limitation?

 

Since the Variax 500 does not have an "Instant Alternate Tuning" switch like the JVT models,

the new feature "POD HD/Variax Custom Tuning Creation" is a real addition value for Variax 500 users.

    Hi

     

    Yes unfortunately the inabilty of the older version 1 Variax not to support the POD HD/Variax Custom Tuning Creation is due to the hardware limitations of the older series.  You can create custom tunings for your Variax 500 in Variax Workbench and store them on the guitar as you probably know already, but the new tuning features offered by a POD HD500 or HD Pro with a Tyler Variax will not ever be a feature that will be implemented for your Variax guitar.
