HD500 - changing the effect pedals default settings

Anyway to change the default settings on the effect or amp models when they first come up?

Some of mine seem to have changed on their own but no where near what I have to redo them.

Unfortunately there is no way to set default effect and amp configurations and store them.  They will always default back to the factory standard settings.

The closest you can get is to save a patch with all your amp and effects settings just so and use that as a template to create other patches with.  This is not ideal but, if you have a standard bunch of effects/amp that you like to work with, may be helpful.

Agreed this is easier if you are using Edit to create your tones but it means that not only can you have one start point but you could set up a few different ones for different "moods".

The only difference I would suggest is that I think I would create my starting tones and then save into a separate folder on my computer. Then when I am having a session I can have that folder open on my computer desktop at the same time as edit and just drag and drop the basic start tones as I need them. This would keep the setlists in edit clear of stuff I don't want to transfer to the unit itself.

As I said - great idea Jim.
