model packs won't show in Podfarm 2.51 when pod xt is not connected although PC is authorized

Hi,

I have my computer and my pod xt pro authorized with all model packs (originally bought for the pod), I wonder why podfarm (standalone or vst) says model packs are not authorized when POD xt is disconected from the computer or turned off.

Is this normal?

shouldn't the authorization present in my computer be enough for Pod Farm to run the model packs?

nobody has experienced this? I have two PCs and both behave the same way....

I wonder how I can get support from Line 6 people on this matter?

    you need to go to the license manager (part of monkey) and authorize your computers to use the model packs seperately....
    the current behavior is normal... if you have not authorized your computer......

      thanks, but my computer is already authorized..... that is why I ask if this behavior is normal.
      
      I assume that when the license manager shows my computer is authorized and shows all the model packs bought for the POD XT, they will run on th PC when POD is not connected to the usb port.
      
      Or... am I missing something? won't the licences for the model packs bought for the POD XT run on my PC when pod is not connected?

        Zap, should it say POD Farm 2.5 for software?

        looks 100% correct to me. (2.5 is just an update to 2.0 so that's right also)
        
        you do need to make sure that you have 2.5 or better actually installed... if you have 2.0 installed it won't work...
        2.5 was the first release to support hardware independence.

        It's pod farm 2.51. so yes I also think it should work, but it doesn't!!! on two different computers!

        Are there specific models that you are trying to access? I noticed that you are not authorized for Power Pack.

And just to be sure, POD Farm 2 was a purchased license?

I assume this is the case from your screen shot otherwise it would be italicized.

(I'm grasping at straws here!!)

I think BigChas may have hit it!!

Power Pack is a Factory add-on license that came with the PODxt.

Factory add-on License will not run without the hardware connected.

NOTE: One exception is “Factory Add-Ons”. These are features that can only be used with the device it came with and cannot be removed from that device to be “shared” with your other Line 6 devices. For example, POD XT Live comes with an FX Junkie Add-On. After authorization, License Manager does not make that unit’s FX Junkie available to your other authorized devices. In License Manager, Factory Add-Ons are displayed in italics once you've selected a device and goes on to say "these Add-Ons can only be authorized on this device".

  Big Chas was right! the models missing are the ones from Power Pack !! thanks guys for the help!!!
  
  So I guess now I'll have to pay for the whole Pod Farm Platinum to get the Power Pack models
  
  There should be an upgrade path!! I've already payed for pod farm 2.5, and every single model pack, except the Power Pack...
