Does the M9 have line level

Does the M9 have line level for running in an fx loop?

M9's were designed to optimally process Instrument-Level audio signals (Stompbox Modeller... most of the devices modelled in the unit are pedal effects that come before the amp's input).

You can run a line-level signal through the M9, however. I've sent various synth/sampler signals through the M9 and have been quite pleased with the results.

Ah, yes the Shiva. I believe that you're going to need to use another gain device before the M9's input and set the Shiva FX Loop to operate at pedal send level. At the core of it all, M-series processors were intended for "instrument" level input (hence "Stompbox Modeller"). The line level output of many tube amps will be too hot and clip the input circuit.
