Acoustic octave?

I know I have only had the JTV59 for 2 days but when I select an acoustic model, when I try to raise all strings by an octave it shows it on the diagram but does not change the notes.
Am I missing something?
I am running 1.81
Cheers
You know you have to enable the alt. tunings...
yep tried that
Thanks Silverhead - guess I missed that one. Think I might rollback to previous version. ![]()
Stay tuned to the website for an upcoming update to the firmware to address this problem.

Congrats to Line 6. 1.82 cures my problem of alt tunings. Had the guitar now 4 days and done 2 upgrades ![]()
Impressed so far with line 6's response to an update that somehow shouldn't have got thru QA (1.81) and quickly rectified the problem (1.82)
Very pleased so far - except the banjo hmmm...
Yes - I agree it is very surprising that the 1.81 was released publically with so many very obvious problems.
I wonder if anyone on the Beta tester team had brought this issue up prior to release? And if so, QA should have certainly caught it as you mentioned. Hard to believe everyone missed the new acoustic bank alt tuning options not functional?
But much better now with 1.82. Even some concern about the inherent ambience of the new acoustic models that many - like myself - were not pleased with as built into the pacth and not able to be lessened. But 1.82 has addressed that as well.
Perhaps the alt tuning "sticking" or "reverting to standard" when using the built in tuner problem will be addressed as quickly? There are a few other glitches, but not sure if they are solely the JTV or partly caused by the POD HD units via the VDI connection?
Only time will tell.
Stay in the mix and in the know.
