Is it possible to switch between ABCD and FS 5-8 mode from the FBV Shortboard MKii?
Ie; is it possible to use ABCD mode to call up your preset, then swtich to FS 5-8 mode to 'on/off' your amp/fx blocks, all using the floorboard?
The manual says the FUNCTION 2 switch is used to turn "Set List Select Mode on/off".. is the the same as changing between ABCD and FS 5-8 mode?
cheers.
In short, no. Switching between the ABCD and FS 5-8 assignment can only be done by pressing down the "VIEW" button on the HD500/Pro/Bean unit itself for longer than 3 seconds. This is a system menu setting, which cannot be assigned to a footswitch option for remote access.
Another way to word this is, the only way to enter SETUP Pages 1/10 on an HD500 is by pressing and holding the VIEW button for 3-5 seconds on the panel.
Set List Select Mode is not the same as toggling the ABCD-FX 5-8 switch assignment, no. That's to access the different Setlists (folders) of your internal patch memories.
Ok, so you can't change the system setting from the footswitch. So does this mean you can't change patchs while in FS 5-8 mode?
The HD Pro Quick Start Guide says this:
"Note that you’ll need to set the System - FS Mode setting
to “ABCD” to allow FS5 - FS8 to instantly access the Channel locations.
Press the A, B, C or D switch to instantly recall its Channel location within
the currently selected Bank."
If i have the mode on FS 5-8, what happens when i press the bank up/down? Will i automatically jump to the next patch, or will it just continue to flicker and do nothing??
Stay in the mix and in the know.
