G30 Wireless issue with an acoustic guitar?

I have had 2 G30's with the same problem when using either of my acoustic guitars.

 

High pitch buzzing.

 

Electric guitars are quiet, but plug in an acoustic and whammo..

 

I'm using a simple under the bridge pickup (fishman) on both acoustics and they are noisless when I use my normal rig into my pa.

 

Add the G30 and a high pitched buzz happens.

 

Even used completely solo, straight into the board this happens.

 

It has happened in multiple locations.

 

Is it the high impedence of the pickups?

 

Has anyone else had this issue?

    Most likely the problem is coming from the cable or from the pickup.  Do you have a cable model engaged?  If not you are hearing the true HF output of your guitar which will have much more HF output and possible hiss compared to using it with  a guitar cable.

     

    As far as the impedance goes, if you had to high an output impedance from the pickups then you would lose highs not gain them.  I have never found a piezo pickup that was loaded down from a Relay transmitter.  It's input impedance is about 1.3 megohms.

      I've changed cables. I've worked every variable. The only constant is the G30 and the buzz.

       

      If it is the pickup it's a bad pickup on 3 acoustics giving the exact same buzz.

       

      This is not a hiss, it is a loud high end buzz and it sounds just like the first G30 I got.

       

      The cable model drops it out a little, but it is still there.

       

      10 feet of Mogami cable that is being replaced by the G30 is probably a safe test.

       

      5 electric guitars have no buzz.

      3 acoustics all buzz.

        The fact that it is working fine on the electrics pretty much rules out that the problem is the G30. A cable blocks a lot of high frequncies that are in your acoustics and the Relay allows them to pass unrestricted but it's not making that noise/hiss.  Try increasing the cable model setting.

          I understand what you are saying about high end frequencies that I normally would not hear being accentuated.

           

          The cable model setting makes it sound like a 15 or 30 foot guitar cable with a buzz.

           

          So.. I went to my local studio and plugged my acoustic into their board direct with a 10 ft Monster Cable and dimed it.

           

          Perfectly quiet. No noise at all.

           

          Now I add the G30. Use a 1 ft Mogami cord from the transmitter to the guitars and the same Mogami to the board from the receiver.

           

          Same buzzing issue on multiple acoustic guitars (4 of them.)

           

          All electrics are quiet.

           

          Could this be a ground issue with all the acoustics?

           

          I'm gonna try even more guitars tomorrow.
