My UX1 won't connect to my computer

When I start the Line 6 Monkey, it says Communications Error under the place where it says the device connected, I have tried plugging the usb in different ports, I'm connecting the usb straight in the my computor, and I tried unplugging it for awhile and plugging it back in. The light on the UX1 comes up red when I plug it in, but it won't turn green. I don't have the latest drivers installed because when I try to install them, the download stops halfway through everytime.
This all happened after I downloaded Gearbox from Line 6 Monkey, the device seemed to stop working after that. This is very frustrating and I don't know how to get this working, I have seen many complaints about this device all over the Line 6 forums and am really starting to regret spend 160$ on this product. If I could please hear from a real employee instead of an automated reply it would be apprecitated, thanks, I really want to get this working, I have yet to even hear a sound from the machine because of the complicated setup of it.
I forgot to mention that I have uninstalled the drivers and all the software and reinstalled it all. Nothing has changed still and it still comes up with a communications error. Also when I try to open POD farm 2 I get an error message saying it failed to initaion framework. I can't open POD Farm either now because I get the same message.
Have you tried downloading the software onto another computer? I would try that, and burning a disc of the installers, then trying it that way before I trash it. You didn't mention what OS you're running, either, not that it should matter, but sometimes Windows firewalls prevent .exe files from downlloading and installing properly.
It's strange, I tried shuting my computer down last night and trying again but it still wouldn't work, but when I woke up today after a full night, everything seems to be working now? Oh and I am running on Windows 7. I can't figure out why nothing would work last night, and now to find everything running fine after 10+ hours of being shut down, kinda weird. Anyways, I'm still kinda wary if this is going to keep working, but I'm staying hopeful. Thanks anyway though man.
I'm glad you're back in business. A lot of times, the best thing to do is just shut it down and walk away. Rebooting solves most problems with Windows machines, anyway.
Glad you got it going.
If you haven't already, make sure you have the latest drivers and firmware (and Monkey).
Also, you can run POD Farm 1.12 instead of Gearbox.
Gearbox is not really supported any more for the UX series unless you need it for the Guitar Port Online subscription.
