Hi i need help to settings the pod ux2 with pod farm (i'm italian so sorry for my english)
i tell you what i've done so u can tell me what i have to do. I have a PC with windows7 32bit
I've installed the driver and the pod farm everything with line6 monkey so the driver are the newest...i got the licens with licens manager for both of them
in the setting i choose
Use this device: UX2 (tonedirect)
Tone direct settings:
-Driver Format:
operating at 44100Hz; 16bit ....SOUND CONTROL PANEL---> Playback: i choose MY speakers (if i choose speakers Line6UX2 i can't hear anything)....Recording: i choose Line6 UX2
-ASIO SETTINGS: Default buffer size:512 ... Default BIt Depth: 16bit
-Tonedirect & USB Audio streaming: Extra Small
Inputs & Recording: Instrument............Hardware Meters Show: Outputs
Now the problems are:
-LATENCY : i got a latency that don't let me play good
-QUALITY : the quality of the sound i think should be better
- The output control (on the pod studio and in the pod farm) doesn't work...if i turn off them i still listen the sound
I'm sure that the settings are not correct (i've tried to see the the guide but doesn't work)
Thank you
You need to choose ASIO Line6 UX2 and plug your speakers or headphones directly to the UX2, it becomes your sound card.
Here's some vids
ok thank you i put my speakers into the phones input...now i have to connect my PC with the pod??
just with phones/speakers and the USB cables i can't hear the sound....so i tried to put
the LINE OUT of my pc into MONITOR IN of the pod....run the pod farm...and everything works PERFECT
but after few minutes i hear a big noise and now every time i connect the pod even just with the USB the
dB level on the pod goes to the max and i listen this noise...i use the UX2 (directsound) as device
i must find ASIO LINE6 UX2?? is this the problem?? can u help me??
Are you recording or just need sound?
just the sound for the moment...then i need to know how to setting with cubase5
now i think it's everything ok...the problem was the big noise like ZZzzzZZzzZZZzz suddenly madeeven when it was good.....( just with usb and speakers in the phones )
i changed usb port...put just the usb cable...instrument cable...spekers in the phones...and run podfarm...now there are no problem..
any tips?? there is a safe mode to switch off the pod?? or just put off the usb cable?? can u tell how to work with cubase?? Thank you again
If you are not using a DAW (like Cubase) then you need to select the Line6 UX2 as your sound device.
You should be connecting the UX2 to your computer via USB.
Connect speakers to the analog outs or headphones to the headphone socket.
Please test with Headphones.
If you are trying to plug computer speakers with an 1/8 inch stereo jack (tip/ring/sleeve) into the phones, a mono 1/4 to 1/8 inch adaptor will not work.
Same way. In Cubase select ASIO Line6 as your device.
