HD300 no toe switch? Help!

Just got my hd300, went to perform a pedal calibration but then found that there was no toe switch underneath the pedal, there's just a blank piece of metal, is this normal?

There's a little piece of metal on the bottom of the pedal itself but when fully pressed down it doesn't get low enough to press on the metal....where you'd expect the toe switch to be.

Has there been a bad batch of hd300's sent off with no toe switch's? Can I send this off to Line 6 to get one put in? Am I missing something obvious here?

Thanks for any help!

Have you tried standing and putting ALL of your weight on the pedal?

Certainly with the HD500 - to begin with - you have to put what feels like an excessive amount of force on the pedal for a couple of dozen times before it starts to slacken up.

Although this feels wrong it is probably the best way to have it - you wouldn't want the switch constantly activating by accident.

Put some heavy boots on - and really stand on it - a sitting position won't do it. You may hear a crack - don't worry. As you use it a bit more this should become a bit easier as it 'breaks in'. Eat some burgers and supersize you meals.

I know on my HD400 that the toe switch acting up is a sign of the calibration being off...

Try doing the pedal calibration procedure...

Hold D on power up and follow the screen prompts...
