Hey everyone,

I have a question in regards to using my Foot Controller to work in Guitar Rig 5.  I'm new to this type of Amp so please bare with me.

I've watched this video about how to program your Foot Controller http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QNHAR3q_h2g with FBV Control software and I followed the instructions to a T. However on the video he opens Guitar Rig and his presets are already set up, so either I'm missing something or he just skipped over that part of the setup. 

When I open Guitar Rig and go under the Audio and Midi Settings, I go to the Midi Tab and I see four choices (FBV Shortboard MKII, MIDIN2 (FBV Shortboard MKII), MIDIN3 (FBV Shortboard MKII) and MIDIN4 (FBV Shortboard MKII) and they are ALL turned OFF but it doesn't let me turn them on.

Here are my questions...

1. Do I need something to connect my guitar to the computer or can I just keep my Guitar connected to my Spider IV 150 Combo and the FBV Shortboard connected to the computer?

2. Do I keep Line 6 FBV Controller program open while Guitar Rig 5 is open or is it just used for assigning?
