DT25 combo vs head + cab loudness

Hey all,
I'm considering buying a DT25 to use with my POD HD400. My question is would the head + cab be much / any louder than the open backed combo? My old rig consisted of a Tech 21 Trademark 60 plus a Power Engine 60 (both 1x12) which was probably slighly overkill for most gigs (never turned the combination above halfway even with a seriously loud drummer). My sound is much driven these days but I am still a little concerned a DT25 won't be loud enough. The style of music is along the lines of The Birthday Massacre i.e. downtuned rock but not shouty metal.
All opinions welcome!

I think two 112 cabs is enough with the DT25....I have a DT25 head with the stock cabinet. It's quite good, but with only a single 12 @ 8 ohms it is a bit underpowered and not moving quite enough air for my taste...When I use my DT25 head alone (I also have an HD400), I use a sealed 212 cab that I have ad for a long while...loaded with 8 ohm speakers...The trick for using this amp with a band and getting enough clean headroom with a real drumset is running at 4 ohms...At that point, it is just enough where I can get a nice pushed tone...no attenuator needed...
Good point. I'd forgotten about the differnce speaker imepdance makes to the power output. Hmm, starting to think the DT25 isn't gonna do it for me and can't afford DT50 so may have to look at other options
OK, I've now read other's saying that DT25 is louder than a Power Engine 60 which was plenty loud enough. Anyone like to confirm or deny this?
