So i bought a used Line 6 pod x3 live few weeks ago.Today i finally had the opportunity to explore the unit a little bit and i tried to connect it to my laptop.I downloaded the Line6 monkey and it recogninzes it.I also downloaded Pod farm 2 but whenever i use it along with my pod,my computer crashes after several minutes.I also downloaded Gearbox but it doesn't recognize my pod and so does Riffworks...What should i do???
Make sure you are using the most recent drivers.
If you are running the newest version of Monkey it should find them for you.
As for POD Farm 2, that is a paid upgrade.
The X3 may have a POD Farm 1 license as a factory add-on, but that is only a plug-in.
You would still need to use Gearbox to edit tones on the X3 with a computer.
I will have same setup next week as I got a used X3 live. Will I be able to still download Gearbox and Monkey to download patches, edit on my Mac, and put patches in the pod? Anyone know? Thx
yep
yeah, got problems with my POD x3 live and windows 7 also, i use pod as a sound card also and it stops playing my computer sound every half an hour, but windows shows media still running...any ideas?
known issue... requires a free trip to the service center... called USB dropout, tech bulletin #52
Do the Line 6 technicians in India, solve this issue ?
if they're list here: http://line6.com/service_centers/
they should be more than happy to help you out...
i can't guarantee that though, because the warranties and agreements vary from region to region.
