Joona,
All of the Line 6 DL4 pedals have the same firmware version. There are no EPROMs available to update the DL4.
Can you please detail the problem you are experiencing and how to reproduce
it?
Have you tried performing a factory reset:
Hold the 'A' and 'Tap Tempo' button as you power up the DL4 by plugging in the LEFT/MONO input.
Regards,

Hi Hugo!
Thanks for the reply, but unfortunately it's not providing me with any help.
If reset the pedal numerous times, with no avail. How come, if the firmware is the same in all of the pedals, it says v1.6 in my pedal and v1.3 in my friends pedal?
The problem is, that whenever I try to save a multi-head preset, that engages just the first two heads, it won't remember the preset. It just spits out the dry signal. I'd like to have it set so, that in the heel down/normal setting it would be a slap-back echo, and with toe-down it would be a long pulsating spacious delay, with heads 1, 2 & 4 engaged. Everything seems to be ok, before I switch over to another preset, and yes, I've done the saving as instructed, by holding the desired button down for 3-5 seconds.. When I then switch back to the multi-head preset, there's no delay. If I rock the exp-pedal, it kind of snaps out of it and "remembers" the saved preset, EXCEPT: for some very annoying reason it also adds the fourth head to the slap-back, and you CAN'T DIAL IT OUT. For this reason it really makes the whole preset kind of unusable, since now there's no slap-back, it's kind of a slap-back with a trail. Intrestingly enough, it does seem to be able to save a setting with the third or fourth head engaged, but never, if only heads one and two are engaged.
Co-incidentally, I tried the same settings with my friends pedal (v1.3), (which is also a relatively old pedal, with the old logo, just as mine) and it did the same exact thing! So two pedals going haywire seems like a programming bug to me, not like somethings broken.
I'd love to know if the new pedals do the same thing. I've had a newer DL4 before, but I never tried this setting with it, so I've no idea wheter the bug is fixed in later models.
What to do???
EDIT: Went to a store to test out a new pedal off the shelf, but no change. I wasn't able to store a multi-head preset with the 1st and 2nd head engaged. What gives?

After spending some time trying to reproduce your recipe: I was able to duplicate the behavior on both an older and newer DL4.
This very specific example (EX-1 switching between the two states of the Multi-Head model you listed previously) is a function of the current DL4 code. At this point I am not aware of any fix available, so the only thing I can suggest would be for you to submit a Feature Request to the development team here: http://line6.com/company/contact/productFeedback/?topic_id=3

Hey Perry, and thanks for the reply.
But just to be exact, the problem is not evident only with an expression pedal. If you take out the ex-1, and simply put all the dials except tweez (which should be compleatly off i.e. seven o'clock) to twelve o'clock, and save it, It's gone when you come back to it. This is why I think it's quite a crucial problem.
Best Regards,
Joona

I just recently purchased a DL4 and am finding the same problem in regard to saving a Multi Head preset.
I've searched the Line6 support section and haven't found an update to this clitch.
Has a solution been found as yet??
Thanks
John
