I have followed the Pilot's Handbook and cannot seem to play the songs in accordance with the instructions; howver the drums play as indicated. What am I doing wrong. Also, was my Spider Jam suppose to come with an SD card or do I have to buy that separately? Please help. Thanks, Cheryl
Cheryl,
I'm not quite sure what you mean by "playing the songs". You have jam tracks, which are the backings to songs and you can jam as the lead over the top. The other "songs" that come on the Jam are the pre-set amp settings that the artist used (or would use) to play that song on your amp. So "Stairway to Heaven" doesn't play "Stairway to Heaven" but rather sets up the amp with the proper settings for you to play "Stairway to Heaven".
If you want to play songs through your amp so you can play along, you will either have to load them to the SD card them load them to your Spider Jam or you can plug in any MP3 player and play along on your Jam that way as well. Detailed instructions for this are in the advanced Spider Jam manual on this site.
As far as the SD card, you need to purchase one yourself (or you can use one you already own). Note that it can only take up to a 2GIG card. Instructions for using the SD card are also in the advanced manual.

Sue, Thank you for so humbly answering my question. I saw a Youtube video that explained it clearly to me before you had a chance to reply, and then I felt like a jerk! I get it now. Maybe the Pilot's handbook could have explained it in more depth and saved you from having to answer my question. Thanks again.
Cheryl
I was looking around with the same question. I'm a newby to line 6 amps too!
