New Relay G-55 with an existing XD-V70?

Ok. So I just received my new Relay G-55 today that will replace my aging XDS-PLUS system for my guitar. For vocals, I use a Crown CM-311AESH plugged into an XD-V70L system in place of the lavalier mic. This currently works great for me.
Two questions:
1. Do I need to set the G55 to RF1 mode to work with the XD-V70 system or can I somehow upgrade the XD-V70 system? I did not see this system as one of the upgradeable systems.
2. When will I be able to register my device? It's not in the drop down! Lol
Wow. My initial search was bad I guess. I now see that I can update the V70 but I need to find someone with a V75? Seriously???
So one more question: how would the old XDS-PLUS systems figure into the equation? Could my other guitar player use one of those while I use the V70 and G55? How do the channels match up?
You would need to set the V55 in RF1 mode unless the V70 had been updated with V2.0 firmware. But I would advise that most users will find RF1 mode more robust and reliable and easier to setup. RF2 mode exists primarly aa a workaround to allow the co-existance of wi-fi.. If your wi-fi performance is not disturbed by RF1 I would not switch to RF2.
A V75 receiver is required because it alone has USB connectivity making it the interface for Monkey upgrades.
Old XDS systems are compatable with all of the new 2.4G wireless systems. You dont need to worry about channels on either.
Thanks for the help!
