Talkbox..

I have a talkbox i'm wanting to use. is it possible to run the setup entirely through the pedal or is it completely necessary to have an amp? if i can run everything through the pedal, could someone please explain how to do so? thanks alot.

    1st of all, you have better chances to get help if you will go to: support>technical support>support forums, and sellect your gear.

    2ndly, what pedal you have?

    Are you using a Heil Talk Box, a Rocktron Banshee, or something different for a talk box?

    I would think that you still would need an amp. The talk box works by having the amp's power amp section drive the speaker horn in the talk box. The HD500 is really just a pre-amp.and cannot drive a speaker.

    The Heil units are old technology and are passive. They must be powered by your amp or a seperate small amp to drive it. It is essentiaslly a mid range driver with no plastic horn on it. The tube goes into the hole the horn typically mounts on. Buy a Rocktron Banshee. Very easy to use. Built in preamp so you can vary the gain. Good Luck!
