If he's a male cat that hasn't been "fixed," then he's probably out on the prowl for lady cats.  And since he's been gone for a week, I'd say that he must have found him one or two.

i know what you mean about missing your little buddy. i had a cat named "benny hanna". one day he was riding with me in my van. i had to stop fast and he got scared. he jumped up on my lap and dug his claws into my thighs and nearly caused me to have an accident. i pulled over and under a highway overpass, let him out. i saw him run to the top of the embankment just under the roadway and he sat  there. i drove away and left him. later on i realized my temper got the better of me and i really started regretting what i had done. i went back about 3 hours later and there he was sitting in the same place i left him. i sure hope you have the same luck.

CNN news has discovered that a post made to this particular thread by DoctorWu on Oct 20, 2010 about his alleged dog named "Jasper" is actually a hoax!

Upon further investigation, news sources have determined that the photo of "Jasper" used in this thread was actually a photo that was lifted from the Facebook account of a dog named Sébastien Desormeaux, an up and coming Jazz pianist from New Orleans.

It is unknown at this time how this hoax was originally perpetrated.  But authorities have ordered a full investigation.  Additional details will be released as the investigation unfolds.
